SMS Lodging assumed the management of Kahari Resort in December 2021, on a one-year term to re-launch the property, formerly known as Lumina Point, while integrating the operational functions of the property with the partner hotel (Peace and Plenty). This included integrating shared costs with transportation, imports, boat, launch services, labor, and training. SMS Lodging engaged in a full relaunch of the new property with all luxury Leisure and Sales organizations to introduce this previously unknown resort to the travel industry.
Took over management in November 2019 for the new ownership group, on a 1-year contract.
Renamed and rebranded resort with GDS and luxury travel organizations.
Structured all H.R. operations, Marketing, Finance and Procurement, and I.T. for ownership.
Maintained functioning operations, in the Bahamas, through Covid in 2020.
Ended 1-year agreement (after 14 months) and handed property management back to ownership.
Resort established the highest ADR and Highest Operating profit since opened.
